What we’re interested in is the two instances of “h1” in the brackets to either side of the title. These are Header 1 tags, which designate the text between them as Header 1 text. These tags tell your browser—and search engines—that this is the biggest text on the page (unless someone has manually tweaked the site settings), and thus the most important text on the page.
In WordPress, many post titles feature information in addition to just the title of the post. Many titles include the time, date, author, and categories that the post is in. You can choose what elements to include or exclude in your title headings.
a/ However, using ‘general’ job boards (free services) means that statistically 95% of your time and effort is wasted as 95% of your applications go to companies that do not and will not sponsor an H1B visa for you (even Monster.com has referred H1B job seekers to H1 Base for specialist H1B employment assistance and services).
The header tag, or the

tag in HTML, will usually be the title of a post, or other emphasized text on the page.  It will usually be the largest text that stands out.  There are other header tags in HTML too, like an h2, h3, h4, etc.  Each can have a lesser degree of importance on the page, but it really depends on how your HTML/CSS guy did the layout.  Sometimes, they make your logo the h1 – because it’s in the “header”, but it would be best to make the h1 the title of the page or post instead.
To use them, you manually type in the tags around the section titles with double spaces before and after, if you are not using HTML in your posts. This way, WordPress will know to automatically add the paragraph tags when generating the post. It might look like this in your Write Post screen:
According to Google engineers, if a user doesn’t return to search results quickly after clicking on a link, then that’s a good indication that he or she is happy with the result. In that case, the bounce rate is low.
Pawan, Yes, you can study on L1 visa. No, there is no formalities. You just have to check with the University and get going. You may have to take GRE and TOEFL for admission. Yes, you can complete in 6 to 8 years time depending on school.
While your header tags do extend to h4, h5 and h6, we’re only going to focus on the first three since these are the tags that carry the most SEO value. Now, you can’t just go insert your header tags anywhere and expect to see results. Header tags have their own place on a page and have to be used in a proper order starting with your h1.
#1: Only use one Header 1 tag per page. Some people like to argue about this, and there are specific circumstances where it might be appropriate to use more than one Header 1 tag on a page. But if you’re reading this and in the position where you need guidance in the proper use of H1 tags, take the easy route: one H1 tag per page. Thankfully, WordPress—which we use for almost all client sites—makes this pretty easy. Most themes simply take whatever the title is for the post or page and automatically set it as the H1 text. Boom. Done.
Google has advanced its search parameters with semantic search with Google Hummingbird.  With semantic search, google can interpret your meaning by the use of your words instead of just plain addition of an out of context word as a keyword. Hummingbird will identify the intention of the phrase you use and related it to a keyword.

Try keep your page meta-descriptions between 70 & 160 characters including spaces and punctuation. (No magic SEO formula here, Search Engines do not display more than 160 characters in their search result descriptions). Meta descriptions form part of the free adverts that visitors see in search results.
It should be immediately obvious that the very last H2 is useless. It doesn’t tell me anything about the content of that section. I can probably guess from the context that there’s some sort of progression, that we’re taking what we’ve learned in the previous sections and doing… something… with it. But maybe I’m wrong. Maybe the next step is to invest in Amway. Who’s to say?
While having sitewide H1-6 tags or multiple H1 tags on a same URL is not a critical SEO issue, there is an optimal structure from the SEO point of view and that structure does not include sitewide H tags or multiple H1 tags per URL.
Now you can hit “Update File.”  And if you leave everything this way, you won’t notice a single change in your website yet, since all you did was paste the exact same code into the “single.php” file that it had been pulling from the “header.php” file to begin with.
By default, using the first example, any time the H2 is listed, it would look that way. By putting an ID or Class selector in front of the H2 tag, you can modify the look. But, and there is always a but with CSS styles, outside of an identifying ID or Class selector, it acts like a parent, influencing the other H2 headings.
Wish you a very happy new year. My wife did her MBA Finance and Marketing in India and came to US after getting married. She is planning to do her second MBA here. May i know what are the options available here. She also has H4 EAD now. Can she study with that ?? Also is it mandatory to write GRE/GMAT . Since she already did her MBA is there any crash course that she can take up and sit in campus interviews.
If you are not using a CMS, or your only option is to manually add your H1 tags with HTML, this is luckily very simple to do. Just open the page you want to edit in a code editor—Notepad on Windows and TextEdit on Mac can both edit and save HTML files—and find the location where you want to add a H1 tag. It should be beneath the tag, but above the

tags and other text and images on your page.
Essentially, just by having a H1 tag on your pages, you’re helping your website rank better. It may not be the strongest thing you can do for search engine optimization, but H1 tags are still very important for SEO because they tell both search engines and website visitors what the content of pages will be about.
H1 is recommended to be made more concise than Title, not exceeding the number of characters greater than 50. But there will not be a catastrophe if the headline is longer, when it is impossible to cram the whole essence into a designated amount. Special plugins for WordPress allow you to analyze the correct filling of all meta directly in the editor.
For starters, make sure that your H1 tag includes your keyword. That means if you want your article to show up at the top of the results when people search for “women’s handbags,” then you should include the phrase “women’s handbags” in your H1 tag.
Most people know how to look for advertised job openings, but finding H1B opportunities is another issue. Whether you’re looking online, in the newspaper, at trade shows or anywhere else you should remember that not all available jobs are advertised right now, and not all companies are willing to sponsor H1B visas. Changes in the economic environment, normal turnover and industry changes generate new positions every day. Some of these positions are offered through advertisement, but most jobs are filled by proactive submissions and networking methods (over 80% of jobs are filled before employers need to advertise).
Also, Moz’s 2015 survey of search engine ranking factors lists “Page-Level Keyword and Content-Based Metrics” as the third most important ranking factor. That large category includes “keyword term/phrase in particular parts of the HTML code on the page (title element, H1s, alt attributes, etc).”
Some companies listing jobs online choose to keep their contact options limited to a generic email address or an online form. Much higher success rates are derived from submitting to ‘real’ people within the companies (the actual hiring managers and decision makers who are recruiting for the position).
When planning for a new business, most aspiring entrepreneurs seem to try to prove to a skeptical world that their idea can really work. Their approach to developing a business model and writing a business plan involves gathering as much … Read more
Well there is no thumb rule on how many times H2, H3 and H4 tags can be repeated in a post. If your are writing a long post it is but obvious that you will need to use H2, H3 and H4 tags quite often, preferably H2 for heads and H3 / H4 tags for sub heads. Don’t overuse H1 tag, you can use it once in the main heading and that’s it. Hope that helps.
Yeah, if you apply for change of status then ideally, you should change you status to H1. That said, I have seen few people who have stayed on L1 status and working. I do not know the exact consequences, some say it has impact in the long run…but I do not know.
Keywords in H1 Tags is of utmost importance for it is an important ranking factor. I never knew that keywords in H3 and H4 tags are not given that weight age by search engines. Though I included the ancillary keywords in those tags and not the primary/focus keywords. Very informative post for a beginner.
SEO trends may come and go, but for many years, it’s been said that something as simple as a H1 tag can improve a website’s SEO. Is this a myth, or is there some truth to the claim that H1 tags help SEO?
The fact is: obtaining an H1B visa can often be a long and challenging process for many people: the most difficult stage is finding your H1B job with a sponsoring company (which is the 1st step for everyone), to interviewing and negotiating your employment contract, to gathering required documents (both you and your new employer) and filing the right visa application forms (your employer), all within the required time frames.
We typically have one H1 in our post and then use H2’s for sub headings.  Although with HTML5 you can have more than one H1 on the page.  It depends how you separate out the content.  Here’s an example where there are multiple H1’s and you see they are separated by ‘article’.
Philip Kotler a Gary Armstrong ve své knize Marketing definují marketing jako “manažerský proces, jehož prostřednictvím jednotlivci a skupiny uspokojují své potřeby a přání v procesu výroby a směny výrobků či jiných hodnot”.
Also, another advantage is, if your wife is interested in studying on H4 visa in USA, some advantages for her are like in-state tuition and also both of you are in same class and can study together. My previous boss did the same thing. It can be a little overwhelming, but many do it !
Yes. I know from the H1 that the post will explain what header tags are and how they impact SEO. Looking at the H2s, I know that the content of the post will explain what H1s are, what H2s are, whether or not H1s and H2s have an effect on SEO, and how to properly implement H1 and H2 tags. It’s pretty clear what’s going on here.
You can apply for MBA at any school and pursue it as part time. You will need to take GRE and maybe TOEFL. MBA is a management degree, you can choose emphasis based on your interest and career plan. The easiest thing for you is to call and setup an appointment with a school around you and get details on admission and the requirements. They may waive TOEFL, if you can convince them you have stayed in US long enough.

It’s your call whether to lean toward consistency or creativity. Personally, I’d be more likely to use a creative H1 in the case of an article or blog post (like the examples above) than, say, a product page or an evergreen page on a core topic.
At this late date, we’re not 100% certain as to whether Google and company look specifically at header tags, or if the way that users respond to content with header tags has a larger impact on search rankings. It’s become a bit of a ‘chicken or the egg’ conundrum.
When you’re creating a document in Microsoft Word or similar programs, you can section off your document.  You can put heading 1s (i.e. H1 tags) on your page, which generally appears as a larger font than normal text and, most of the time, bold.
As an International professional or student, when starting your “H1B job” search the preparation, the strategy, evaluating and selecting the best search method can often be confusing – where do you start ?
I think I need to clear my concept in this regard. I usually use H2 Tag once, very rarely twice. I use every Tags for paragraphs in descending order. H1-Title, H2-Ist Para, H3-2nd Para, H4-3rd Para. I never use 3, 4 or 5 for sub paras. I use bullets there or continue with the text.
So should we use h1 tags for just text or links also like post titles. What do you say and what should be done for better SEO because I have read some comments mentioning their google traffic dropped after changing.
H1 tags are one element of optimizing your website but, if you get them wrong, it can be damaging to your site.  You never over-do your optimization but you should have your keywords listed in a compelling title.
Dividing up your content within a post can feature more than colorful and larger fonts. You can add graphics and styles to these section dividers to enhance the look of your site. Let’s look at two examples.
H1 tags, for example, automatically drop any proceeding content to a new line, but this default style may be overridden with a simple CSS trick. A block element consumes the full width available and has a line break before and after it. An inline element only takes up as much width as needed and does not force line breaks.
